How to Treat Rising Damp?
The most effective as well as the most economical way of treating the rising damp is to use a damp proofing injection cream. You can either pick a complete kit or an individual cartridge of this cream.
The damp-proofing cream is injected (or hand-pumped) into those specially-positioned holes in the mortar course. There the damp-proofing cream turns into a liquid. This allows the cream to penetrate deeply into the bricks and get absorbed completely. While curing, it creates a very powerful water-repellent barrier.
You can also install a damp proof membrane that will act as a damp proof course.
When there is evidence of the rising damp on the internal walls then the first thing to do is to remove wallpapers as well as the plaster. Do the same to the external walls as well. The quickest way to treat rising damp is to use a damp proof membrane.
Chemical injections such as DPC are highly effective at treating the rising damp if it is installed correctly. The formulation is proven effective in providing long-lasting protection.
